Kaylee smiled and returned Simon's kiss. "I don't know- I think we might need to try another dose." She smiled, pulling her to him as she felt his hands on her thighs. She wrapped her arms around his back and kissed him passionately again.

Simon kissed her again, and smiled, then saw the time, and swore. "Were going to have to get redy, I think were late as it is." he hsaid, and with an apolagetic kiss, he slid out of the bed and started to get sorted for the Ball, or the Heist, or whatever it is that they're calling it.

Kaylee looked down at the blanket when Simon pulled away. It was normal for her to be disappointed- she was again being deprived of here alone time with Simon. "Yeah- I know you have a lot to get done before everything starts." She forced a smile that lasted only a few seconds. "We should take out cut and run away for a while before we leave the core. At least have dinner or something." She smiled at the thought- but she knew Mal would never allow it. "It's just a thought." She sat and thought of what she could do. She hated not being a part of the job. She understood why everything was set the way it was- but she was still disappointed. "I'm sure I can find something to do around the engine room while everyone is gone." Although she had been feeling a bit lonely lately- she still enjoyed the alone time she had with Serenity. She leaned up and kissed Simon again before getting up and changing. "I'll see you soon sweetheart." She kissed his cheek again before leaving.
