Vincent just shrugged off what James said and went inside to observe the tracks. When he got back out, he observe the ground until he managed to find the trail. He was actually a little impressed, they had covered their tracks well. "Ok everyone, the trail goes off in this direction. Its faint but its there. Lets move out."
Shortly after he began to follow the trail, he thought he felt something in the back of his mind. At first he thought it was just the feeling of being watched so he started to checking the windows. When Serenity crossed his vision, he realized what the feeling really was because, unlike everyone else, Vincent learned to realize when someone entered his mind as opposed to blocking them out completely. He felt that trying to block his mind out was like trying to deny what River was. "You're welcome Riv," he mumbled to himself. Vincent smiled to himself as he spoke to himself. It felt good to know that she read his letter, and although it wasn't much, he was staring to calm down a bit.
Vincent followed the trail a bit more until he started to feel something else. Thoughts and images were forcing their way into his mind. He began to clutch his head, not in pain but clearly in distress. As he tried to make sense of it he began to speak very quickly, almost in a trance, "Three people in a home, but not a home. One doesn't want to be there, not his home, his home is elsewhere. A girl, lost, lost in the valley of darkness, searching. They're close. They're here." He snapped out of it and grabbed the shoulder of whomever was next to him, gasping for air. "I know where they are. Its that one." He pointed to the house across the street and began to make his way over.
