Lookign For A Ship

"I am a reader" said River "And thank you for the compliment. You never said anything about the dislike of groups of men your thoughts gave it away I apologize I am not supposed to pry but I sometimes do"

River looked at Bella and smiled kindly trying not to frighten the girl more.

"If you want I can help you put up blocks so other readers won't be able to find things out that you don't want them to know" said River "Once you are on Serenity no harm shall come to you from any of the crew and if a passanger attempts to harm you they will be delt with accordingly"

River knew Mal wouldn't turn Bella down. Mal wanted a cook in away he thought it would be nice. River started walking toward Serenity. She was out bare foot again and Simon and Mal were going to have her head for that.

"Come along Bella, Vincent will you be accompanying us" said River

[Dave Cassidy]

Dave holstered his pistol, realizing that he wouldn't need it now, but kept the catch off, just in case, he slung his hold all over his shoulder, walked up to Vincent and said

"You shoulda told me first, got myself an itch that only a trigger could scratch for a moment back there."

Turning to he girl who seemed to be in charge he asked

"you got any need for another gun hand ma'am? I'm a mighty fine shot with a repeating rifle."

With the last man scared off, Vincent took a moment to compose himself and his aggressive demeanor just seemed to have faded away. "There's no need to worry about me miss. Didn't even break a sweat. I'd actually be more worried about them." Vincent grinned and gestured to the men laying unconscious and bleeding on the floor.

Vincent looked at the man that had joined them. He put on a guilty smile and said "Yeah, sorry bout that mate. Anyway, not knowing makes life much more fun." Looking to River he said "Thanks a lot River. I'll be with you shortly." He nodded to each of them and began to walk over to his bike.

"Alright Vincent you will recognize the ship" said River

River smiled at Bella again to keep the girl calm and letting her know that Serenity was the safest ship she'd ever been on. River than turned on Dave and looked at him.

"It is a necessity that you converse with Captain Reynolds on such matters as this" said River "Although considering on how the Captain likes to deal you maybe a necessity to the ship even though we already have a mercenary"

[Dave Cassidy]

"My thanks Ma'am, mind if i follow you?"
Dave asked as he fastened the catch on his holster. Dave then glanced backwards towards Vincent before looking at River and saying
"Ready to follow ma'am, all my kit is in this hold-all."
He stated as he inicated the bag with a slight shrug of his carrying shoulder, as he began to follow River.

[Arabella Hart]

Bella hesitated a moment. She felt a slight headache with all this new information. “Um this is a lot of information for one day. And my bags are still at the inn I was staying at.” Bella looked behind her shoulder. Everything she had of her family was in those bags. And right now, Bella felt like she needed some of them by her side.

Bella rubbed her temples in thought. “So you’re a reader?” She rhetorically asked River. “Ok this is a lot of stuff in one day.” Smiling with some amusement, she asked, “You must never know a calm day do you?” Bella loved those kinds of ships, but it took time getting into the flow of things.

She watched Vincent run off and turned to look at the man beside her. She smile and nodded. “Thanks for wanting to help.” It took a lot for Bella to take to new gentlemen. She would be skittish around them for days on end until she knew that she could trust them. Bella hoped this ship is as great as River made it seem.

Vincent sheathed his sword back under his overcoat and hopped onto his bike. He began to ponder the intentions of the other man. Vincent shrugged it off thinking it was nothing but decided to keep an eye on him. He turned the engine on and went and pulled up next to the group, "Anyone fancy a ride?"

[Dave Cassidy]

Dave smiled at the lass, saying
"Cant help it ma'am, i got a mighty big problem with men layin hurt on lasses like yourself."

"I know it is allot Bella and you don't have to worry. We can get your bags and then head to the ship. Mal wouldn't dare leave without his albatross" said River "No there is never a calm day always something going on. And noone on the ship will hurt you. Mal might not be the friendliest person for a couple of days but once he warms up to you he treats you like family."

River turned to Dave again.

"Chivalry isn't dead then" said River "Dave we will need to have you talk to Mal none the less without his approval your stuck"

River looked at Vincent and that bike. He knew it would have to stay in the cargo hold until they landed. Mal had rules and they were to be followed. She looked back at the others.

"Mal has rules, he expects them to be followed, he will explain them to you and I do suggest that they are followed closely understand." said River "Dave if Mal takes you on he might treat you as a guest on his ship until you prove yourself to him. Bella you will be fine Mal is nice and he doesn't like to see women hurt or upset. He gets tongue-tied when women cry around him."

"sure thing ma'am, got any idea where i can find him?"
Dave asked, not wanting to impose himself on them for too long.

"He is on a job at the moment and then he shall be back at the ship" said River "He should be back by the time we reach Serenity please Dave from now on call me River"

River looked at him with that creepy start that she was known for. It gave everyone on Serenity the creeps River knew that full well but she loved to be creepy even if to just bother her brother.

[Dave Cassidy]

"Sure thing River."

Dave wasnt as creeped out by the stare that she had given him as she wouldve thought, infact, he almost laughed.

"Which way to the boat?"

She was glad he found the humor in it but once he found out how she could fight he wouldn't laugh anymore.

"It is in the docks it is the only firefly in the lot she is 03-K64 Firefly-class mid-bulk transport with a standard radion accelerator core. It has the word Serenity on it in English and Chinese in white and they are inside a red orange and golden rod circle" said River

She knew it was probably more than enough information than Dave needed to know to find Serenity but that was just one of the things River did well. She was glad that she was barefoot her feet always felt trapped when she was wearing shoes or anything that covered her feet and River didn't like to feel trapped.

"Thanks River."
Dave said as he walked off towards the docks in search of the ship.
