She pulled her hand away and moved so that her head was against his chest. She liked the sound of his heart beat and just the feeling of being close to him. She was safe as long as she was in his arms. She didn't like the fact that she didn't know what she was saying. Allot of the time when she had a fit she was telling them something that they weren't supposed to know.

"Yes" said River snuggling closer to Vincent.
She was so lost in her own head that she was ready to cry again. She couldn't always work her way through her brain and get herself to be logical. She held onto Vincent tightly, wishing she wasn't so lost with everyone else's thoughts and secrets. She knew what they wanted, who they were, she knew things about Shepherd Book that he they wouldn't get and she wouldn't say. She knew who he was and why he knew so much about the operative.

Vincent looked down on River. This wasn't such a good idea anymore. They've only landed for five minutes and already she was having fits. He couldn't let her go planetside, not in this condition. "Listen, when its time for the job, I think it would be best if you stay here." He knew she was capable of helping with the job, he just didn't want to risk her getting caught. He would never be able to live with himself if she did, especially now that she was carrying his daughter.

"I don't think I should go anymore, not now" said River
She nuzzled against Vincent's chest, she loved how safe she felt there. It was all she could do to keep from crying again. She was upset not one person really understood why at the moment.
"Simon, can't know not about this" said River "Please don't tell him"
She cuddled with Vincent she was feeling safer there. She didn't want Simon to know about the last two fits, she didn't want medicine. River was desperate for Simon to be left out. She knew if he was told she'd be pulled into the infirmary. She already hated it there she didn't want to go near especially if it was for her.
"He'll make me sleep again, I don't want to sleep, please don't make me sleep" said River
She was a lot calmer and making more sense now. She was asking Vincent for things that he would never do to her. But she still had to ask. He'd know how desperate she was if she was asking him not to tell about her fit or asking not to sleep.

Vincent placed his hands on River's cheeks and rested his forehead against hers. He just gazed into her eyes. He could tell how hard she was trying not to cry. "Don't worry. I won't use your safe word. Nor will I tell Simon about your fits." Simon would just take her to the Infirmary and shoot her full of meds, and seen as he doesn't know that she's pregnant, he could end up doing damage to their daughter. "Besides, your safe word is stupid anyway."

"Thank you" said River kissing him gently
She knew he'd understand her need to keep the fits secret. She didn't like the meds anyway, and now that she was pregnant she just really didn't want them. She remember the first day on Serenity when Simon was giving her medicine and she stuck her tongue out at him when he wasn't looking. She could see through the haze enough to pick on Simon. When Simon told her she was on a ship she rattled off the serial number size class and everything with out issue. Mal was impressed with that.
"Mal can't know either" said River "He can't keep his mouth shut"

Vincent gave her a small kiss back. "Don't worry. I won't tell a soul. And I'm sure Bella and Daniel won't tell anyone either." He remembered that they still hadn't told anyone that they were getting married yet. "Hey, why don't we go tell everyone that we're getting married. Seen how everyone reacts might cheer you up somethin' plenty."

River gave Vincent a small smile. He knew how to make her feel better. He didn't treat her like she was crazy either.
"Especially Simon" said River
River was feeling an urge to go and pick on her big brother again. She didn't know why but she wanted to pick on him.

"Ok then. Lets go find that boob for a brother of yours." He laughed at his remark. He enjoyed picking on Simon almost as much as she did. He was a pretty easy target afterall.

River gave a smile, not one of the ones that he'd seen ever. It was one she usually reserved for when she was going to pick on Simon or make him look like an idiot.

Solstice sat in the room River shared with Vincent, she laid her head down on the bed not sure what else to do. She could feel emotions and hear thoughts of the people just out side the cargo bay. She didn't like being on the core any more she wanted to go away and hide from it and never come back but she didn't have that option at the moment. River had told her that they were going to explain her to Mal later.
