River smiled in her sleep. She was glad that she was in Vincent's head and not her own. He was seeing things that River knew they were going to do. She snuggled herself closer to Vincent. River could even see the annoyed look on Simon's face when Jayla would correct him on something. River was happy there. She could also see their other Jake and Lily as they grew up. Jayla always picking on them for something or another. Jake protecting his sister's especially Lily.

He may be asleep but he could still feel River digging around inside his head. It made him feel warm inside. They we're both close to each other physically and mentally. He dreamed about what Jayla would be like when she got older. When she started to date boys, and he would constantly intimidate them much to Jayla's annoyance. He just wants to heep her safe. He knows only too well how bad the world is and he loves her too much to see anything happen to her.

River liked the fact that Vincent wasn't going to kick her out of his head. It was better in his head happier less pain from people doing things to him. River smirked at the thought of Jayla and dating. It was going to be interesting to actually see things unfold in the real world

He moved his arm around River's waist and resting his hand on her belly. In being connected to River, he could almost feel the life that was growing inside her. He started to wonder about what she was dreaming. He knew it was about Jayla, he just wanted to see what she saw.

River was asleep without nightmares. She laid in Vincent's arms knowing that he felt connected to the life that was growing in her. River knew that Jayla was going to be picking on her cousins and siblings just like she did when she was little. She could also tell Jayla was going to be smart like her mother was. River had always been smart, Simon said that she was born spouting off all the knowledge in the Verse. River could do everything as naturally as most people could breathe.
River woke a little while later with a start. At first she was disoriented but then she knew where she was. She snuggle near Vincent and watched him sleep. She wasn't tired any more. She'd gotten all that stuff about the academy off of her chest and now she had slept fairly soundly which was an entirely new thing in it's self she was awake now simply because she wasn't sleepy.

Vincent woke up for a moment. He was too excited to stay awake. Still with his arms around River, he saw that River was awake. "Hey you. You doing ok?"

River looked up at Vincent and smiled. A real smile not one of her half ones she sometimes gave Simon to make him think that she was okay.

Vincent lit up when he saw the smile on her face. She was practically glowing. "I don't think I've ever seen you this happy before. I must have done good." He kissed her softly while running his fingers though her hair.

River knew that was going to come as a shock to Vincent. River very rarely slept, she was always plagued with nightmares. She didn't eat alot either and that was going to have to change now that she was going to have their first child.

Vincent smiled at her, "Its all because of baby Jayla. She was only conceived a few hours ago and she's already helped out so much." He loved seeing her this happy. He kissed her again. "So, when shall we tell everyone the news?"

River kissed him back and then thought about it for a minute.
"After I start having morning sickness" said River "They will believe it better once that starts."
River wasn't looking forward to the morning sickness she'd seen Kaylee when she had it it wasn't an experience River wanted but it was part of the whole thing.

Vincent gave her a sad look. He's seen how hard it was for Lucy and Kaylee, and a part of him didn't want to see River go through that. "Don't worry. I'll all be worth it once baby Jayla arrives. And then, you'll want to do it all over again." He gave her a smile. Everything would be alright in the end. "We just have to hope no one figures it out in the mean time."

River snuggled against Vincent. She was so glad that he was there with her.

Vincent didn't know what he'd do without her. She was perfect to him. In 9 months time, he would be holding their child in his arms. "I noticed you didn't eat much at dinner. You'll need to start eating a lot more now."
