Vincent continued to kiss River. He held her close to him. He felt like the happiest man in the verse with her. He began to think about what he wanted, and what she wanted. "Are you sure this is what you want?"

She fell asleep on his chest. A little while later she woke up screaming.

River's screaming woke Vincent up. He gently held her head and rested his forehead against hers. "Its ok. Its ok. I'm here. I'm here for you."

She let her head touch his. She was crying and upset. She liked his hand on her face. She was still sobbing but felt better with Vincent there. Her mind had her trapped in the academy again. She knew where she was and that she was safe in his arms. She knew something he didn't know yet but she was going to tell him later.

With his forehead still on hers, he took her hand and placed it over his heart. He also placed his hand on her heart. "Shhh, shhh, shhh. It ok. Your safe here." It pained him to see her like this, expecially after he gave her the best night of her life. "Do you want to tell me what you saw?"

River kept her head near Vincent's not wanting him to leave. River looked at him trying to calm down.
"Needles so many needles" sobbed River "No more please no more"

Vincent wiped away the tears that we're running down her cheeks. "Its ok. The needles are gone now. They're not coming back. Its just you and me now. You're safe here." He rested her head on his shoulder and put his arms around. It was good that they still had no clothes on. He was sure physical contact would be good for her.

River held onto him alot calmer in his arms than she was on her own. She loved him, she was glad that they were holding each other. She was holding him as tight as he would let her.

"Mad?! Mad?!" Vincent just smiled and laughed. He even started to get a little teary eyed from joy. "Why would I be mad?" He gave her a long, passionate kiss. He rested his hand on her belly. They had talked about having children, he just didn't expect it to happen so soon.
