Santo... a place of broken dreams and empty wallets. It wasn't the grandest of vacation spots but it did rake a lot of chancers and cheats in. Businesses were booming all along the street, people spilling out of shops where ever you went. It was all thanks to the gambling. Not the most honest of businesses but it wasn't exactly illegal either. Winners usually took their money and moved on to spend it almost immediately.
Although not everyone was lucky. There were losers too and they littered the streets at night, homeless and hopeless. Kitty tried to stay out of her sister's work but she knew a little about what they did and what was going on. It was hard not to, everyone on the planet knew where to go if they had money troubles. Her sister was the official leader but nobody but a select, very select, knew that. It was to keep them both safe.
Funny how it seemed everything Lola did nowadays was to make sure she was safe. What was she doing to help her sister? She felt the darkness creeping into the back of her head, bringing with it that sadness that always threatened to envelope her and drag her down into its murky depths. She shook her head as if the motion could actually shake it off but that was nearly impossible. It had been a long eleven year battle and it had gotten easier thankfully but Kitty wasn't sure she had won the war yet.
She paused outside her favorite little restaurant and sighed, glancing up and down the street, stuffing her hands into her sweatshirt pockets, wondering how long she had to wait for her sister. They had a lunch date. Sure Lola was probably busy with a meeting but she still couldn't help feeling a bit selfish. Her sister should be there with her. There it was again, that darkness. She shook her head again and sighed, knowing she was a big girl and should be able to take care of herself. Baby steps.

She bought passage from Peresphone to Santos a few days ago. The ride had been boring and she stayed to herself in the room with four people since she obviously could not a single. The money her father left her was getting on the low side but there was still enought to survive. She might have to keep take some jobs from her fathers old employers. Madelyn would never consider herself a mercenary but she could locate someone and threaten them. The art of stalking was actually quite fun since one had to be stealthy and the best way to be steathly was to blend in.
Blending in is what she was doing currently on this planet, and keeping her money close to her so no pickpocket would take it. The people sitting on the side of the road covered in dirt and begging for money looked pathetic. It would be the last place she would ever want to be. Her father's recruiters contacted her once in a while and she figured it was time to respond so she could at least be doing something. Who knew... it could lead to some sort of direction for her life.
Life direction had been missing for so long... ever since her father died. It was such a awful night with so much blood and so many tears. Quickly she pulled her mind from going back there and took a soft cleasing breath. Then she stopped walking and looked around the area. There were a few shops and a litte resturant with a girl standing in front of it, obviously waiting for something. Since she was a little lost on this planet Madelyn walked over to the girl and approached her. "Excuse me... is this resturant any good?" She asked and looked over the girl, taking note of anything significant. Madelyn looked like a traveler so it was easy to image that she was lost and confused.

|_________________________________________|there is only two types of people in the world the ones that entertain and ones that observe well baby, i'm a put-on-a-show kind of girl don't like the backseat, gotta be first |_________________________________________|Lola was running late, well, later then she liked. She had gotten caught up in a meeting with a friend that took longer than what she had expected. But, she wasn't about to leave early since her friend was in a bit of a bind. Nothing big, at the moment, but something that could certainly cause trouble if it wasn't dealt with quickly. So, Lola was forced to do what she could after getting all the details, and it was something that couldn't wait till tomorrow. Free from her little duties now, Lola was rushing through the streets of Santo in order to meet up with her sister on time. A blue dress clung to Lola's olive hued skin while the dress had a snake like pattern upon it, giving it a unique look. Black boots beat against the dirt path of Santo's roads as she hurried along while her long brown locks fluttered in the air. Caramel eyes soon spotted her sister, but someone else was talking to her. Perking a brow, Lola approached the stranger, half wanting to just put a bullet in the back of the woman's head, but she didn't. Hearing the woman's words, Lola soon spoke up rather quickly, " That would depend on your defination of good. But, on Santo, it is disrespectful not to greet the person properly when you speak. And, me and my sister are only here because I pretty much own this establishment," she stated rather bluntly and with a bit of a rude tone in her voice. Lola was always cautious about strangers who approached her sister, and this woman just gave Lola a bad feeling all around. " So, who are you?" she asked without even thinking about giving the woman her name in return. No, Lola preferred to be the one holding the cards when she thought someone was more than what they appeared. In fact, Lola just felt unsettled all around and cursed herself for having left her pistol behind at the office. Luckily, she knew several of the servers at this place who were carrying, so she was relatively safe. Though, to be honest, Lola rarely carried a gun when she was with her sister, but Lola also had men everywhere on Santo, so she felt safe enough most of the times. " I am Lola, how about we all go inside and have a nice meal," she stated while poking her sister's side while Lola settled up next to her sister and awaited the response of this other woman. |_________________________________________|### ;; wordswho? ;; taghanseh & britney spears ;; credits

Kitty had fidgeted nervously, not really sure what to say to this strange new woman that had appeared in front of her asking questions. She wiggled and squirmed on the sidewalk, tapping her foot on the sidewalk. "Um..." She murmured and was very glad that her twin sister appeared by her side to save her.
She clung to her side, appearing rather shy as she tugged on her sleeve, trying to indicate that she should be nicer, the woman did only want to know about the restaurant. She knew she was protective but there was no reason to be rude, hence why she gave her a little bit of a disapproving look. Her sister was tough... sometimes she had to be in this crazy mixed up world.
She tugged on Lola's arm slightly and wandered towards the front door, not sure if this other woman would follow or ditch because of Lola's attitude. She kinda guessed the latter though. "Be nice... come on... I'm hungry..." She murmured quietly to her twin, grabbing ahold of her hand.

Madelyn looked at the girl and could just see that she was nervous just by the way she was standing and squirmed. There were many times when she had to read people's body launguage... simple things like when a man was reaching for a gun or when a women was starting to seduce a man. Now she felt like a bother since the girl did not seem like she wanted to speak to her. But just when she was about to turn away and say nevermind another girl just walked over to them.
Then the new girl called her out for being disrepectful and that made Madelyn feel like an idoit for not knowing the rule of the planet she was visiting. "Very sorry... I ment no disrespect." She told both of them and bowed her head slightly to show some sort of respect. "My name is Madelyn and I am a visitor on this planet. And who are you?" She asked. It was only proper for you to know who she was talking to afterall.
Then a name was given and an offer of lunch was made. "Well... thank you for the kind offer. I would like that very much." She said and removed her hands from her pockets. By removing her hand she was showing that there was nothing she was reaching for. When her father was making a deal Madelyn was never supposed to put her hands in her pockets. People become nervous around others with thier hands in thier pockets. Plus Madelyn did have a gun in the inside pocket of her jacket and she did not want to draw attention to it.
