Owen was being extremely bold today. Even though there was weirdness between him and Toni, he wanted to stay on the Steamhardt. Alora’s recently vacated job made that a possibility. If he got it then he would figure out how to fix things with his best friend but right now he needed to talk to Sebastian. Only the captain could say if this was a good idea or not. Not like Owen didn’t already help out. When it came to various jobs he would tag along as an extra gun hand as needed so he already did some things around here. It wouldn’t be much for him to take a step up from there. He wasn’t a natural leader like most captains were but he could take charge when it came to gun fire. He had a few of his own weapons around here but most, which were his father’s, were at home. One of the many reasons he wanted to get to Verbana to pick things up.
Walking around the ship, he had no idea where to look for Sebastian. He wasn’t in his shuttle nor the bridge. So he just followed paths until he could find the man. If for some reason he kept missing him he’d go around and ask people if they’d seen him. he could always page him with the com but that was just a pain and made him seem dense. Owen wanted this talk to go smoothly. It’d be nice to have an actual job around here then just doing whatever. Then he could stop paying Sebastian and get paid when he did something around here. Plus, when he wrote his mom he could tell her he was actually doing something with his life. She was worried her son had no direction which was half true. He had just been waiting for the perfect opportunity. This was it.
Finding Sebastian in the common room, Owen cleared his throat before he dropped down into one of the worn out chairs. Leaning back, his body sunk in. ”Got a minute Bastian?” Owen didn’t get nervous very often but right now he was in a minor sense. He was able to shut it down so it didn’t overwhelm him a whole lot.
