[Sebastian Gates]

Bastian is the Captain of Steamhardt, a transport ship that is old in and of itself, but new to it's crew. Bastian had a tough childhood, being abandonded by his mother and never knowing the truth behind his apparently unwanted birth. He grew up living a life of crime, doing whatever he could to make his way in the world. He always aspired to be a pilot of his own spectacular ship, doing honest work with a great crew. Little did he know, he would end up with a rundown ship and a crew full of misfits. Regardless, he feels like he is on the right path, with the perfect friends to keep him on track. That is, if his past doesn't creep up on him.

Bastian prides himself on his ability to weasel his way into anyone's good graces. It's how he's lived as long as he had. He fights hard and plays harder. When planetside, he can almost always be found in a bar. He likes to do honest jobs, regardless of the low pay, but times are sure to get rough soon and he may need to contact a few of his... less admirable associates. Bastian tries to make friends everywhere he goes, but is terrible at keeping in touch. He sometimes goes years at time without so much as a letter and then will appear out of no where and act as if you saw him only yesterday.

Once upon a time, Bastian was a wandering nomad, finding shelter where he could. Along his journey, he indulged himself in quite a bit of... ahem... physical fun. He likes to think that he has never left a broken heart in his wake, but that is probably just his denial. Being on the move was always difficult and strained all of his relationships, causing him to develop a fear of commitment. Although he'll never admit it to anyone, there was only one woman who had ever won his heart, but he hasn't seen her in over fifteen years. Last he heard, she had been married to a well to do Alliance loving prick. It was probably for the best.

Viper - While they don't bed each other once a month, they've had relations before and continue to keep an eye on one other. They don't expressly ask for help from one another, but they do tend to manage to help when it counts.

Business is tough, and the majority of Bastians business partners are more into the stealing and smuggling than they are the good, by the book transports. As of now, Bastian does what he can to avoid even the paths of his old associates, but even in the vast verse, it won't last long. He is reliable, hard working, and very crafty. When he signs his name to a job, he commits as if his very life were on the line. In some cases, his life really is on the line. He rarely asks for favours from anyone he has helped in the past, but feels indebted when others help him.

If someone would be willing to make his old boss, Jareth, I would love to do some serious plotting. I have this idea of Jareth finally catching up to him and turning Bastian into his slave for a while, forcing him to do his dirty work just to spite him. If you are interested, let me know and I'll tell you moooore.

Living a life of crime makes for a lot of enemies. Bastian tried not to step on any toes in his travels, but working for Jareth was a whole other story. It was almost as if he employeed Bastian merely to piss everyone else off. Let's not even mention the Alliance factors. When it comes to his enemies, Bastian believes that any burnt bridge can be rebuilt. He will always try to win back favor if the time arises, but otherwise he believes avoidance to be the best approach.

Since both have been traveling for a while I feel like thier paths would have crossed at some point. Probably just another one night fling for the both of them, nothing too significant. But maybe Madelyn becomes a passenger on the ship for a short period of time and they remember each other. or something... I dont know what do you think?

How do you think their one night stand would have come about? Might be kind of important to figure out whether or not they parted with hard feelings. Do I? We only mentioned it once or twice. Enemies, I guess, but do they have any back story with each other, or do they only know about each other through rumours and the like? I can't remember exactly what we discussed. I has bad memory. xD

Basty & Viper: They had sex once back when Viper was still a doxy, so he would most likely know her as Vitalia since she didn't officially become Viper until she got Aphrodite. Either way, they may still keep in contact, or listen in to what the other is doing, and perhaps be willing to help the other every now and again. Though, Viper may not ask for much help, but that doesn't mean Bastian couldn't show up knowing she may need the extra hand. xD

Sounds good! Bastian has too much pride to ever ask Viper for help himself, so she would be welcomed to pop in to help him whenever she felt like he needed it. Of course, he might be a little off putting at first, accepting help from a ship of ladies. But their skills out weigh their gender, so he'd get over it quickly enough. xP

Bastian and Unity ::

Unity sees him as a bug on her windshield, just out of reach from sweeping him clean off the game board. She doesn't particularly mind him as a person but the sides they've chosen have put them at odds. Her mind isn't completely made up about the Alliance at the moment so she's tended to let him escape on purpose, feeling as if they're not always the bad guys. Perhaps one day when Unity finally makes her decision on which side to join, they can be friends or even colleagues but for now, fates have them tied as enemies.

How about they had a one night stand when she was alot younger and she felt like an attachment to him. So in a way she had her heart broken but has pushed him to the back of her mind... Until they meet again

Well here goes the list of characters I have and what they mean to you. hehehe....

Jules and Bastian: They'd be in a sense friends but not until Jules meets up with Serenity and all the major stuff goes down. They'll be complicated to say the least. She is after all Jayne's daughter.

Adalira and Bastian: Well you already know what we discussed for the two of them. However i would like to think that eventually they would seek no one out to confide in but each other. Sex you know is optional between the two lol. the Sexual tension on the other hand is not.

Chani and Bastian: Well she is Miss Universe so to speak. If he needs info or something looked at she's his girl lol.

Gypsy and Bastian: Well really he's been with Viper once when they were doxy still so he's probably know her as Aveil as she'd have seen him coming out of vipers room. You know.

Ryan and Bastian; If he needs and onboard techie he's got one. He'll eventually be on the ship as he'll be the love interest of the pilot.

Kohaku and Bastian: Well for the moment I would suppose enemies but this young man is indifferent to people so long as they don't mess with Dolly.

Wash and Bastian: FRIENDSSSS!!! hehe wash just likes bastian for some reason.
