Overall personality;; Jackson is a dependable officer and usually gets the job done, although he is not always successful. He has a dry wit and a sarcastic sense of humour, and is not unfamiliar with gambling and drinking though he rarely gets to participate in either in his capacity as an officer. A Non-Comissioned Officer at heart, Jackson detests being an officer, but grins and bears it for the sake of those serving under him and to make sure that those in command don't screw up to much.

[/b] A career soldier, Jackson Cliché has served in the Alliance Military since he was seventeen, when he forged his fathers signature on his application form. He found himself enjoying being among the NCO's and was happy to remain as a Master Sergeant despite his potential to become something more. His father was pleasantly excited and excited at his sons chosen career and supported his choice to stay in the lower ranks, while his mother tried to push him to become something more so that she could brag about it to her friends.

Jackson's stay in the NCO ranks wasn't to last however, as he was inducted into Officer School and eventually promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. Only his love for jazz music and his caring for his faithful Bonsai tree that has gotten him through his career thus far as an officer. Cliché's dedication to duty and to his former brothers in the lower ranks were the only things that stopped him from getting himself in enough trouble for a serious demotion. He slowly rose to the title of Major and was assigned as the first officer and second-in-command of the new ship Allygiance. Hopefully the rookie commander they'd placed him under was up for the job.
