Owen has some crude tattoos he has gotten from one too many drinks and letting a friend practice on him.

Overall personality;; Owen bottles his emotions up inside of him. It sometimes gets the best of him and he’ll explode which no one should be around him then. There are more than a few dents throughout the Verse from when he's gotten angry. He’s blunt with his honesty, but sometimes he can be too forward. More than once he’s gotten into arguments because people don't like how he can be. People can either take him or not at all. People have tried to change Owen but it never seems to work out. not even a girl has been able to change him.

To try and keep his cool, Owen writes and boxes a lot. It sounds odd that he is one who would write but it works for him. Mainly he'll write short stories. Some of them reflect events in his life. Owen doesn’t date. He hasn’t had a serious relationship once. There have been a few hookups when planet side, but nothing memorable. He doesn’t care much about having the whole future with kids and marriage.

[/b] Owen was born on his Verbana. His father was fighting in the Unification War when his mother gave birth. About six months later is when the two men finally met. After the war his father was a man his mother didn't recognize, but she stuck by her husbands side. This gave Owen a happy home to be in. They barely scraped by with things that they needed but Owen learned not to want and go without. he learned to keep himself entertained walking around the town and with simple toys his father made for him.

When he turned twelve years old, his father told him the story of the war. And the story of Miranda....he reminded Owen that they came from a family that fought on the right side. He knew about doing the right thing so that wasn't too hard for him. Despite being so young, he absorbed everything told to him. If there was one thing he was good at, it was absorbing things. Facts, ways to fix things and how to get your own food to grow. Owen's father spent his life working all over the place, doing any odd job he could. Eventually he began to do that himself while his mother worked as a teacher at the school Owen attended. It wasn't any special school but it gave the kids the tools they needed to learn.

After the age of seventeen, Owen really became more like the stereotypical guy. He didn’t hold down any form of a relationship. When he went out of his small town, he’d find a pretty girl and have fun with her. Then he’d leave like nothing ever happened. His mother would say that Owen would regret it one day but he hasn't yet. The only thing he has to regret is spending more time with his father. After years of work and the time from the war, he passed in his sleep. It was peaceful and he hadn't been in pain. Apparently breathing in toxic smoke from fires in the war and the random jobs he did. It was a peaceful burial.

After that, Owen left. With his mother's blessing he just went off on his own. He only had a little money, some clothing and his father's jacket from the war. Like his father, he picked up odd jobs in between taking a ship out to them. Most of his money was saved as he could sleep anywhere from barns to a motel. Eventually he found his way to the Steamhardt. First he was there just as a passenger but after one sticky situation, he proved he could be a bit more useful. So while he is still technically a passenger, he helps out where needed. Owen just hasn't found anyplace else to settle down.
