Mal walked around on the hill behind the mansion. The alarms had been skillfully shut off. Looking over the expansion, he saw that most of the guests were arriving. This job would be tricky. But most of the workers at the Sinclair estate knew to help them. This made Mal happy. Only three did not know about it-including Laline. Sliding his gun into it’s holster, he hoped he didn’t have to use it. He was still getting a kick out of Simon’s hair.

Bella was reluctant to walk out of the ship. She was unhappy about this really. The only reason she needed to be here was to get her stuff. Kaylee, Inara and Haven had been helping her all evening. They were also helping Inara. But Inara was skilled enough to do a lot on her own. Sighing, she decided it was time to walk into the moonlit night. Her dress was unique, made for her. The ruby red fabric shone in the light. She accented it with gold and crystal jewelry. Her hair was pulled back in curls, a ton of hairspray coating it. A fake tiara accented the top. Walking into the night, she lifted the bottom of her skirt so it wouldn’t drag. Her shoes were simple, but her feet would kill at the end of the night. Breathing in the familiar scents, none of the memories of Alec washed over her. This was a relief. Standing beside Mal, she looked over the grounds with him. “Ready?” Her own heart raced in her chest. She was far from ready for this.

Alora had stayed, for the most part, on the ship. Preparing her weaponry, which consisted of well concealed knives all over her body. Most you'd never think to find them there, and they weren't even dirty places. Her sleek black hair was pulled back into a messy bun, which could easily pass as a styled, fancy hairstyle. Too bad it only took a couple of seconds to do.
Back into he black leather, perfect for for being undercover and sneaky. Alora walked up to her...father. It was still odd. All of her life she'd never had a mother or father, but here they were. Infront of her, alive, and real. She could touch them, they were tangible. "So When do I go in? And what am I stealing again?" Stealing, what a word, evil at best. But again with this ship, it's what they did for a living. Everyone on the ship did it for a living...and now she did too.

Vincent stepped out of the ship with his now auburn hair. He had it pulled back and made into a ponytail. He was not too happy when Bella said it would be in for a week. He was also dressed like one of the servants, like a butler or a waiter or something like that. Incase anything happened, he would need to blend in. He turned towards Alora and gave her a cold look. He still had little trust in her, but he knew he had to work with her in order for this to succeed. "Once the party is well underway, we go in and steal the Academy files that Bella's granddad kept in his study."

Daniel made his way outside wearing his new suit and the male band of the ring set Bella had brought. He enjoyed seeing it on his finger. He expecially enjoyed seeing the matching one on Bella's finger. He came up behind her and put his arm round her waist. She looked so beautiful right now it was unreal. He kissed her on the forehead, making sure not to accidently mess up her hair. "I'm ready when you are."

Dave stepped off the front of the ship, He had left his rifle in his room, he was sure he didnt need it for this. but still, he had grown used to its shape, weight, and feel. He felt... different, without it.
Checking the Pistol he had in a pocket built into the tight under-shirt he was wearing, he made sure it wouldnt be seen and headed after Mal.

Mal looked at Bella, his thoughts still off on the job. “Girly, I’m always ready.” He had taken up to calling her girly lately. She was far from it, but for tonight, she was. As Alora came out, he reached an arm out for her, to pull his daughter by him. “You are helping get some files with Vincent and River. They may have information about what the Alliance did to you two.” He spat those words out with disgusted. He hated the Alliance. With every fiber in him.
Sending a glance to Vincent that said play nice, he turned to Daniel. “My don’t we look sharp. The first time I can remember.” He was teasing his nephew. It was odd seeing the wedding rings, but the two seemed so comfortable with it. Shouldn’t Mal be too?

Bella was being fiddly right now. She prayed this would go well. Watching her rings glitter, she was calmed immensely. They would sneak through the back door, where there were no guards currently, and come through the staircase. Imagine the shock. Daniel’s movement surprised her. She hated seen nor heard him. “I’m ready. We’ll leave in a moment.”
Looking around, she knew that she had found her family. Her past would be left after tonight. “Don’t be afraid to take anything else that can be sold if you see it in there. Any jewels or silver in the safe is unregistered.” She knew what she was doing, but didn’t care at all. She hated her grandmother and wanted to tick her off.

River stood in the entrance of the cargo bay. She really didn't want to go in case she would have a fit. She had Solstice hidden away for the moment, so that Mal wouldn't have to worry about her just yet River was going to need to explain her later not that it mattered all that much. River knew the details of the job so she wasn't listening, she really wanted to stay on the ship and block anything that was coming her way. She sensed her parents at the ball, of course, the could never miss a ball. River knew she should warn Simon and maybe say something to Mal.
"Mal" said River
River was standing there bare foot as always, shoes bothered her always had even before the academy. River could really sense her parents their minds were on her and Simon and she didn't like that thought.
"Mal, Simon needs to be extra careful, our parents are here" said River.

Vincent gave Mal and innocent look, as if to say 'I ain't got no problem. I just don't trust her'. He turned round to River when she came out. "Mal, based on this new information, wouldn't it be better if River stayed behind. Its going to be risky enough with just Simon there now. He went over and gave her a kiss before whispering in her ear, "So how is she doing?"
------------------------------
Daniel just gave Mal a look of annoyance. He know Mal was just teasing him but it didn't really make much of a difference to him. This was the moment he had been waiting for. He was sceptical about it first, but now he was looking forward to it as he was about to see what it was going to be like to actually be married to her. He chuckled when Bella said that they could take anything else, "Thats a bad thing to say to Mal. Thats like saying 'take anything that isn't nailed down'."

Mal smile din disbelief. He couldn’t believe this new cook at times. “You really loathe her that much?” It was family. How could the girl hate the woman so? Even with everything done, that was the cores way. The girl should have known that. All the fancy balls and matchmaking. But obviously not. Laughing at Daniel, he shook his head to one side. "Oh it is a bad thing for her to say. But good for us. More to sell. More money."
Staring at River, he watched the girl. “Hello little one.” He knew she wasn’t listening when he had talk to Dave. She never did. She knew the plans well. “What are the doing here? Bella does your grandmother know that Tams?” This could muddle things up quite a bit. He shook his head as he began to pace. "No, we are going to be unseen. And we can't do much turning back now. Maybe they won't recognize him." He knew that was stupid. He was worried as well. But they couldn't just halt it all. It'd be difficult to move their plans around. It was all set and done.
"What do you want River?"

Bella nodded, probably too eagerly. “Yes I do.” Her voice was soft there. She could make out her ghostly memories of her and one young man when they had been in the gardens. Her grandmother was determined to find her a husband. Bella had been slightly annoyed and relieved when Alec talked to him. Shaking it off, she watched Daniel. Her present and hopefully future.
Bella watched River. Trying to rack her brain, she shook her head. “I didn’t know of them. Most everyone at the other balls who she was familiar with I met. The Tam’s never came.” She wished she could be of more help. But the Tam’s had never come until tonight that she knew of. “She could have met them after I left.” That was nearly four years ago. It was possible after all.

"Stealing...I can do that. I've done it before, nothing new." She Fell back into her Father's embrace. Her ears,a nd mind listening to the conversations around her. So it wasn't nice to eaves drop, but it was what she was trained to do, her life's work pretty much. She listened to the current problem of that mother and father Tam's coming to the ball.
"If they cause A problem. I can always run interference. Out of most of you, I'm the most invisible. No one above top secret clearance levels knows about me, and then some of those people don't even know about me. I've checked, there's no search out for me." She'd go into more reason later, but right now, her information on the situation would have to help.

Vincent couldn't help but chuckle a little from Alora's comment. "You think too highly of yourself, you know." He knew the truth about how the Alliance worked better than anyone. "If you think the Alliance isn't looking for you, then you are sadly mistaken. There is probably an operative looking for you as we speak."
------------------------------
Daniel looked completely surprised by River's revelation. "You....you mean....grandma and grandpa will be there." He didn't know anything about his grandparents, neither did Haven. They had never so much as seen them. Aunt River and his father never spoke about them, there must have been a reason for it, and it couldn't have been good. He held Bella close to him, he needed her now more than ever.

Mal chuckled t the girl. She was a piece of work. A misfit who fit right in with the rest of the crew. Rubbing his hand up and down Alora’s arm reassuringly, he tilted his head. “Don’t let that pretty little face be so sure of that. They could be lurking just about anywhere.” Vincent was right. For a while the Tam’s dropped off the radar and an operative jumped onto their case.
Pulling back some, he looked around. “Are you kidding me?” This could screw things up. Bella had to have known them or known of them. Why else would they be here? He turned to her, anger in his voice. “This better not be a trap. I swear if you know them and it is, I will show no mercy upon you.”
