James Room/Passenegr Dorm 1

[Haven Tam]

Haven walked into one of the guests room. It was had recently been cleaned, so no dust was anywhere to muck it all up. It was identical to the others, with a bed in one corner, a dresser and small night stand. Chairs were recently added to all the rooms when they had some money. It had been her mother’s idea along with a fresh coat of paint. “This is you humble abode.”

James followed Haven in, and took a look around. The paint looked new-ish, and so did the chairs. James quickly walked over to the bed, and took out his pistol. Quickly spinning it he placed it under his pillow. Turning to Haven, he smiled, "Well thats all of MY belongings... where to next?" James took a quick seat on the bed, watching Haven. He couldn't help but smile, he felt different around her. He didn't feel the need to keep fighting, he could for the first time in years relax and be himself.

Sitting in the chair, Haven watched him. Frowning, she shook her head. "No clothes? If not, we can get you some. We have a ton that some of the guys have out grown." Haven motioned with her thumb, everything was in the cargo bay. Buried deep, but she dropped it, leaning forward with her elbows on her knees. Watching him, she smiled. "Well, we could jsut talk or whatever."

James leaned back, but only enough where he was a little bit more comfortable, but he could still see Haven. "Nope, nothin... Kind of got, well, left on Ezra by my last crew... with only the clothes on my back..." James sat there, as she sat down, keeping his eyes trained on her, "Yeah, talk..." James smiled, and then sat up again. "So, you got a boyfriend, on this ship or otherwise?" James was just being nosy, but it was things like that he couldn't help but ask. He just sat there, gazing into her eyes, waiting for a response.

"Well, you'll have something here." Haven was udnerstanding of that. Some captains were cruel. But Mal was different. Haven's stomach felt light and her heart race. The turn on her own life was sudden. "Well, you see, no." She laughed, twisting her hands. "I have to leave htem all behind and the guys here are pretty much my family. You got a girl?" Haven wasn't so much as curious as wanting to wondering if she could make a move or not.

"Cool..." James smiled, and almost laughed. He was starting to get this weird feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Me..." James paused he looked down at his feet, thinking of April. He was technically engaged, even tho he would never admit it. "No, never had time really. I mean there was once, but that was a very long time ago..." He looked up at her and started to stare at her eyes again, "you know what, i just noticed something..." James watched her every move, "you have really beautiful eyes." James smiled, watching her, all the while staring into her eyes.

Haven shrugged as she didn’t care anymore. She never got a chance to get anything more then makeout when planetside, so hadn’t had a steady boyfriend. Watching James though, she had a feeling he was hiding something. But blew it off. Blushing, she looked away herself a moment. Biting her lip, she turned back, smiling. “No where near as captivating as your smile though.”

James looked down in embaressment, he had never been complimented before and it was new. He looked up, "I guess, but I wouldn't say it would compare to you." James smiled again, he didn't know why he was saying what he was saying, but it didn't matter to him anymore, just sitting there made anything worth it, even if Vincent, or anyone else on this ship didn't like it.

Haven got up and plopped next to him. "Well good sir, you are too kind for your own good." Haven was kind of just winging it right now. She didn't know what would be up with this guy. How long he was here or if he really was single, but didn't care. Laying back, she turned her head, looking at him. "Well, I say that you have to prove who's prettier." Haven was smirking, challenging him. She had no confidence at times, so thought she wasn't beautiful.

James smirked when she moved and sat next to him. "Oh I know, but for a pretty girl like you its hard not to be." James grinned. He leaned back, and looked at her. "Well, I've seen a lot of girls while wonderin' the 'verse, and a few on this ship..." James paused, looked around for a moment, "but I'd have to say that you are the most beautiful, hands down, no contest!" James smiled big, and leaned back, so he was right next to Haven. James wanted to make a move now, this could be his chance, but he didn't know if she would be ok with it.

Leaning in, Haven laughed lightly. Resting her head in her hand, she stretched out across the edge of the bed. “I see. Checking out the selection before setting the bait huh?” She was kidding of course. But had had set himself up for it. Playing with the collar of his shirt, she bite her lip. She loved to have fun and flirt. It made her feel girly and cute.

James didn't move, he just watched was she stretched out. "Oh yeah, you know it." James said in a semi-sarcastic voice, but playing along with her. Watching her play with his collar, and biting her lip, he didn't know what to do. He went with his first impulse, he gently grabbed Havens shoulders, and then pulled her close, and kissed her gently. He started to let go of her shoulders, but didn't completely, he wanted to see what she was going to do.

Haven laughed, shaking her head. PLaying with his collar, his button on it was loose, about to fall off. She was playing with it when he kissed her. Setting her hands on his shoulders, she leaned into him a bit more, not liking it when he pulled back. "If you're gonna kiss a girl, then don't stop if she doesn't protest." Leaning back in, she began to kiss him again, softly at first.

James felt Haven put her hands on his shoulder, and he wasn't sure if he pulled back or not. He became sure he did, when she decided to tell him, and he smiled. James leaned in a little, keepin his hands on her shoulders, he kissed her back, and slightly leaning with her, he moved on hand from her shoulder to her back.

Haven leaned her body into his, pressing theirs together. Kissing a little deper, she closed her eyes to enjoy this moment with him. She slowly moved a hand up and down his arm. She knew she just met him, but she wanted to do this with him. Not like it was totally bad. She liked him afterall.
