Preparing For The Worst, Hoping For The Best

Haven went into the infirmary in a huff. She didn't even notice Bella in the common room. Her brother was out of line lately when she was just joking.

Taking clean sheets, she spread them across the exam table. It would warm it up and make it more comfortable. She pulled out pans, gauze, adrenaline and anything else needed. She set it all aside so they could grab it. But didn't open th epackages in case they didn't.

Sitting on the counter, she sighed. This would be a long wait, but she needed to cool off. If anyone came, they'd be dead.

Looking out the window, she saw Bella in deep thought, sitting alone. She didn't want to talk to her just yet. Something about the girl made Haven wonder what she had gone through at such a young age. It saddened her to think she had no home-just traveling the verse-no set ship. Maybe her and Daniel could talk Mal into letting her stay. She was a good cook-excellent-and seemed to draw Daneil out.

Going, she closed the infirmary doors for now and sat back on the counters, thinking....watching....wondering.

Haven was out of it. She was going in and out of focus. Her thoughts were about whether she would see Mal alive again or not. She had a picture of Wash and Shephard to him! Haven had never met them, but had their pictures.

Looking back out, she was shocked speechless. Daniel and Bella were making out right in front of her. She had the urge to run out there, but decided not to. She'd let her mom see them. That would be funny to watch.

Hey, at least he was making progress with her.

Simon walked into the infirmary and looked around, it was all ready. He looked over to haven and said "Nice job." before realising that something was up, and asked "Whats wrong?".

Haven looked at her father. Jumpng down, she shrugged. Bella and Daniel were gone. "Daniel is being a jerk." hen she turned, a curious look on her face. "Him and Bella were making out. It was gross."

Well, not gross. Just weird as it was her brother. Looking, she wondered. "Did you hear about Mal befor eleaving?"

Simon looked at haven, slightly shocked by what she had said, and almost left to go have a word with him, but what she said next almost rooted him to the spot, Daniel and Arabella? they seemed to like each other, but he hadnt thought it would have happened so fast, but decided to ignore it and smiled slightly. When she asked him about Mal, he said "Well, Vincent seems to know where he is, they had just entered the building where he was being held when I came inside. Where is River?" He asked, realizing how vincent had said that he 'just knew' where Mal was.

Haven shook her head. Hopefull that meant Mal was ok. It had to mean he was ok. Lookign at her dad, she saw through his grin. "I think it's fast. Nice, but fast." Hopefully they don't go faster. "They disappear though." Haven thought nothing of that though. Her brother was a gentleman.

"I was joking and he took it wrong though." She thought about River. "We talked to on the bridge and then from there, I dunno."

"Well, I should hope he doesnt go too fast..." he said, trailing off.

"Alright, thanks, I'll have a look there first, just use the comms if they get back, ok?" he asked before turnign around and heading towards the bridge.

"Ok." haven felt alone again. Sighing, she leaned back on the counter.

"What do you want me to do if Mal's wounded. Just try to stop the bleeding for now?"

Haven heard the comm. After about ten minutes, she decided to leave. They would have brought Mal in if he was injured or dead. But Vioncent needed to bullet out.

Going out, she left the infirmary for now.
