River looked at Dave. Something about what he was muttering bothered her. She snuggled herself closer to Vincent. She was actually feeling pretty good that morning. She wasn't on the verge of a fit or anything, but that could have something to do with Vincent being near her. She always felt better with him around. River nearly turned on Jayne for his comment about her brother's son.
"He is more like his father than anyone." said River to Jayne. "Always so polite to people"
River knew how Simon was and Daniel always reminded her of her of him. The main difference was that Daniel didn't think that drugging her was the best way to treat her for her fits of insanity. She didn't like the infirmary although in a couple of months Simon was going to want to see her in there so he could do a scan to make sure the baby was alright. Simon was also going to want to change her medicine as to not hurt the baby. Although little did he know she wasn't taking the medicine that she had now.

"Yes please Bella. Actually I think I'll have eggs if thats alright. Oh, and I'll have some tea as well please." Vincent just looked at Jayne in disappointment. He's like 60 years old and he couldn't make something as simple as eggs. Vincent looked down to River and held her close. He thought it was so funny that someone of her size could threaten Jayne. "What's the matter Jayne? Your not scared of her are you?"

Jayne pointed his half eaten protein bar at Daniel. “In some ways you are. You take a little after everyone on this ship. Just you don’t realize it yourself.” Deciding to shut up, he sat back, finishing his protein bar. Grunting, he shrugged. “No little girl scares me. Not now not ever.” Turning, he looked at Dave. He was quiet. “Hey Dave, wanna lift weights with me?”

Bella grabbed a teapot, filing it with water. Nodding, tea was fine. So was the eggs. Setting the stove so the water would boil, she took out another pan and sprayed it with the aerosol butter she had found. Grabbing three eggs, she figured it would be enough for the River and Vincent. Then she turned the stove onto medium. Letting it heat up, she broke the eggs in the pan, not a single shell in it. Scrambling them up, they were fluffy. Once done, she flicked the heat off as the teapot whistled. Taking that off, she set it aside and grabbed two cups.
Putting a tea bag in two cups, she poured hot water in them. The slid the eggs on a plate and grabbed two forks in case River wanted some. Looking at Jayne, she smirked. “That’s how you cook.” Bella waited. Grabbing a large bowl and pot, she filled the pot with water to boil it for bathing water.

River shot Jayne a look that told him she knew he was lying to them.
"You were pretty scared of me when I stabbed you or when I told you I could kill you with my brain" said River "And when I knocked you out twice"
River knew Jayne was going to get mad at her. but she didn't care vincent was there and she could take him if she needed to. Jayne mentioning lifting weights always reminded River of Shepherd Book. She missed the person but not his hair. His hair terrified her always had.

Daniel
Daniel sat down at the table and sniggered to himself. It wasn't everyday that Jayne was being showed up by girls. He turned and smiled to River. Usually he wasn't overly keen on the references to his father because they were usually used to make fun of him. But this time he felt proud to be like his father, because it meant not being like Jayne. "Thanks Aunt River." He took the tea and smiled at Bella, "Thank you Bella." He took a sip of tea and felt himself start to wake up more.

Vincent sat down and took a taste of the eggs. "Mmm. You're a real sweetheart you are. These are great." Bella really was great at her trade. She made even soemthing as simple as eggs taste better than usually. Even the tea was good. At least now the aroma would cover up the burnt smell. He held the end of his fork out to River with some egg on it, "You gotta try some."

Jayne laughed in a kind of mad manner. “That was my favorite shirt.” Standing, he went to the trash and threw the wrapper out. Grumbling, he looked at Daniel, then away. “Sorry. Too many new people.” It wasn’t often Jayne said sorry so they better take that.

Bella didn’t let the water boil because it would probably burn her. Just enough to be hot to wash up. Turning the stove off again, she poured the water into the bowl. She saw some steam rise, her pulled back hair frizzy. “No problem.” Then she flashed Jayne a look. She had softened, but still mad. “It’s my job after all.”
Grabbing the bowl and careful not to spill it, Bella left the kitchen silently. Her head was pounding and she was sweaty. She didn’t know if everyone thought the way Jayne did or not. It made her angry again. She cared for Daniel. But the doubts flew again. They seemed to be up again a lot.

River smirked she was actually pleased with herself on getting Jayne to apologize to someone. River took a bite of egg from Vincent. They were really good. She smiled at him.
"These are really good" said River
River then looked back at Jayne and smirked. She had to say it again any way.
"You look better in red" said River.

Dave felt like he was intruding in something and quietly said to Jayne "Sure, Il be in the Cargo-bay." and put his book back in his pocket and stood up, nodded to the others before stepping through the hatch out of the Kitchen.

Daniel watched as Bella left, still drinking his tea. He was just as surprised as anyone when Jayne apologised. "Its ok Jayne." He wanted to tell everyone what really happened between him and Bella but he still didn't want Jayne to know. He sat there and drink while waiting for him to leave.

Vincent smiled back to River. He gave her a kiss before going back to his eggs. He cut off a section of the eggs so that River could have some as she desired. He put his arm around her and held the hand that his ring was on. He wanted to wait until more people turned up before telling them that him and River would be married. He offered her some more but playfully ate it himself before she could get to it.

River looked up at him and smiled again. She knew that he was trying to get her to eat some more. Just to make him happy she picked up the fork and ate a few more bites of egg. River snuggled close to him, she felt allot better with him there then anyone else. She knew that Jayne and Daniel would be shocked that she was eating at all. She often times just roamed around the ship. She knew that Simon would be happy when he came up and saw her eating as well. River kept herself snuggled up against Vincent. She knew she'd just up having a fit again if she let go.

Vincent smiled when River started to eat more egg. He wasn't surprised that she was trying to eat more. After all, he already knew the reason why. It would be their naughty little secret. Simon would have a fit if he found out she was pregnant, so soon after they started going out. Vincent heard the proximity alarm go off. "We must be arriving at Londinum. I'll go take care of it." He stood and quickly finished his egg off. He also downed the rest his tea and gave a little full-body shake because of the sudden intake of caffeine. He gave River a kiss, "See you later, my love." He just added the last bit to make Daniel feel awkward.

River smiled at Vincent, then just out of need to be with him got up from her place and followed him. She walked extremely quietly so he wouldn't hear her come in to the bridge.

Daniel was a little disapointed when Vincent and River left. He really wanted to tell them that nothing happened between him and Bella. He didn't like the implication that he was at the standards of Jayne. He was just calmly drinking his tea until Mal came on the comm and talked about a meltdown. He quickly rushed off to the bridge.
