The crew had a job to do on Whitefall. Wash wasn't sure why the kept going back. After all half the time one of them ended up with a gunshot wound or in a bar fight. Then again old grudges die hard he assumed. He had heard the stories a countless number of times from Jayne or Simon. The Captain had pipped in a few times but that was about it. His mother of course always set him straight on exactly what happened. She had taught him to have a sharp mind and be able to fish through what truly happened and what didn't. Wash loved his mother dearly and he knew that she felt the same about him. Sometimes he was made fun of for the fact that he was such a mama's boy but then again he reminded everyone exactly how tough his mother still was. No one wanted to be on Zoe's bad side which was hard to get to anyways.
He took a deep breath and returned his mind onto the task at hand. Landing Serenity on a nice, lovely, soft piece of land. "Buckle up everyone we'll be on decent into Whitefall in the next few minutes. Shouldn't feel a thing but you know. To keep it safe and all." He spoke over the loudspeaker of the ship. Of course he knew there would be laughter about the whole lets' be safe tactic and that no one would really buckle up unless the had too. Which was never, unless they were out running Reavers. He brought the ship into atmo on Whitefall and then down to the ground landing her softly on the dirt. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived." He stood up and made to walk out putting his dino's in their rightful place and making sure his father's dino's were all find and dandy.
"Perfect landin' as always. Didn't feel a thing." "Thanks ma. I'm gonna go have a look around." A nod came after that and he was off. He had a link back to the ship should he need to get back to it quickly. But then again he was never too far in the first place. There were after all just getting a job. What could go wrong? A million things ran through his mind before he started laughing his ass off. He walked passed the others and then disappeared out into the vast beyond heading for a bar or a nice rock to perch himself upon so that he could watch what was going on. Well the first thing he did was find himself a nice rock to perch on. He made sure he had view of he ship and that which was around him and then he looked towards the sky. He wasn't going to do much else. He pulled out the bottle of whiskey that he had gotten on the last job. He could be rather crafty and took a sip of it. Ears trained to listen for anything that might be coming towards him.

It was one of those days. Sun shining, warm but not too hot and humid. Her wallet was empty and she had a gun in hand and a job on her mind. Yep, it was just another normal day for her. She hummed a tune as she wandered up the slope. She had seen a ship come in earlier and had, for a moment had panicked. For just a moment though, having thought maybe the alliance was dropping in. That would make things complicated but no, it wasn't. It was a transport ship.
Huffing a sigh, she pulled her tank top down further, hating that it kept riding up. Today she wore hiking boots, short shorts and a tight tank top and a bikini top under it. Her blonde hair was up in a ponytail in hopes to keep it out of her eyes. She stepped carefully over rocks made sure to keep out of any animals' way. She didn't know much about Whitefall's animal life but it looked like a dusty plain that was probably full of poisonous critters.
She came upon a man sitting on a rock. She ignored him and dropped her back pack by the rock and, still ignoring him, setting up her sniper rifle, peering into the scope, glancing around the hills, looking for her target. "I suggest taking a step back and plugging your ears." A smile appeared on her face, almost a sinister one as she found what she was looking for. A group of bandits had stolen some cash from the wrong people and it was her job to clean up the mess. There was a cash prize and well.. no doubt she'd take some off the top too. She'd be eating good tonight.
With the gun loaded, she pulled the trigger, taking out one... two... three... and four bandits. She brushed her hair back and stood, resting the gun against her shoulder. She turned her head and looked the young man up and down, "You seem kinda strong... think you're up for a job? There's many available."
She acted like it was no big deal, killing people. Then again the man probably didn't know what she'd been up to... yet. The bandits had been on a different hill than they. "Don't worry about this," She motioned to her gun. "Its for hunting." That sinister smile appeared on her face again, finding it amusing.

Wash found drinking his Whiskey and watching things rather peaceful for the time being. After all there wasn't much that he could do but fly the ship for that matter. Okay so that was a lie he was excellent in a fight he just didn't like to fight unless he had too. He bearly noticed the fact that someone was coming up next to him. He was mindful of that which could be around him but the whiskey was putting him in an even more calm state of mind. He put the cap back on his flask and looked down watching a group of men pass by his ship. His eyes narrowed but that was right about the time that someone told him to step back and plug his ears. Out of instinct he did so but he didn't step so far back he couldn't see what was going on. It was a female who told him to do so and she had this smile on her face that he'd seen come off his mom's once when someone was trying to hurt him.
He watched as she effortly picked off the group of bandits one by one. It reminded him of how Jayne did things. So accurate even when the man was angry. But she was amazing, Okay so that could be both the whiskey and his own hormones talking. The young man hadn't gotten any well rough and tumble in awhile. He needed some too or at least that's what Jayne or one of the other men would say. Okay minus Simon who he couldn't understand how he and Kaylee had children so quickly. He shook his head and payed attention to what she was saying as she brushed her hair back. She was beautiful and he was sure he's say that even without the whiskey in his system. She was tough he could tell that and it made him want her just a little more. Damn his horniness. He laughed inwardly and thought about her words for a second.
"I'm up for a job so long as it saves off the boredom." He didn't make a big deal of her shooting the men either. "We need to do something with them?" Watching others die didn't phase him. It depended on the people on how much he cared or didn't care though. He's been watching her every move since she had said anything to him anyways. "Hunting always a good hobby." A smirk crossed his face and he stood up fully.

Barbie grinned and tossed her hair again, somehow just knowing how she affected him in his pants. Then again, girls always just seemed to know. She rested the gun against her hip and tossed her bag over one shoulder, nodding at him to follow her. "Well come on then... should be fun." She hummed softly and wandered down the hill, careful not to fall. The guy was cute, but lots of guys were cute. She was pretty sure he had seen what she'd been doing and yet he still remained calm. Odd. Then again he did smell a bit like alcohol.
Once down at the bottom of the hill, she nudged the dead men one by one to make sure they were dead. It was habit to check even though she knew her aim was perfect. Plus their heads were half blown off so of course they were dead, no one could survive that. She bent down and grabbed one of their bags, unzipping it and checking to see she hadn't... erm... damaged the goods. Everything seemed find and in order.
"Okay here we go." She tossed him one of the four bags and giggled, wondering if he'd catch it. It was kind of heavy. "You carry two and I'll get the others. You help me carry them back to their owners and I'll give you a cut... m'kay?" She winked at him and decided maybe she'd mess with him. Its not like he was bad looking and she deserved a reward for doing so good. "Maybe I'll get you a drink unless... that's your limit?" She asked, motioning to his whiskey he'd been drinking.
Well it could be fun... well... as long as everything went good and her employer didn't decide to screw her out of the money she would earned or if they thought they'd try and kill her. Neither would go over well and she was pretty sure they knew it too but... some people liked to play with fire.

Wash took the lady's lead. After all he had no objections to having to take order from her. She did just kill people. She had skill and he was more than happy to help someone with such skill. He nodded his head as they wandered down the hill. He went a little a head and offered a hand should she need it though he doubted she would. He was raised to be a gentleman though. He was always calm when it came to the oddest of things. Most people would probably freak out and run from this girl. He on the other had was intrigued and wanted to know more. And the more including having someone take care of the tent that was being slowly made in his pants. He really needed to check himself. He closed his eyes for a second and too a deep breath and things calmed.
He watched as she nudged the men one by one. He was sure she was sure that they were dead but it didn't hurt to make double sure that they were. Anyone would just in case some strange thing had happened. They all seemed to be carrying bags full of something. The female opened one up and then zipped back and tossed it at him. Her words were the only warning he got from her. He caught the bag effortlessly and then moved off to get a second bag. "Sounds good to me." That was all he really need to say about her mentioning getting a cut for helping her carry the bags back to whomever they needed to go back too. He just hopped things would go well there. He did not want to explain to the crew why he was held up anywhere. Held up in the bad way not held up in the "i'm having fun leave me be" way. He started to laugh as she talked about drinking.
"Ain't no where near. The little bit I had was really just a little bit.." In other words he was way into wanting to drink. He followed her to where they needed to go and waited like a good helper for what was to come next. After all what did he have to lose today.

Barbie raised an eyebrow, not really sure what to think of this guy. Was he crazier than her? He was so calm. She shrugged it off and blamed the alcohol and poor choices. She slung her rifle over arm and one of the bags on the other. She held the other two in one hand before walking down the hill and towards the rather rough looking town. "C'mon then princess."
She hummed softly and shifted the bags. She seemed to carry them with ease even though she didn't seem or look strong enough. Funny how looks could be deceiving. At the bottom of the hill, she turned, walking around the back streets of the town, avoiding attention from the townies.
She came to stop in front of a run down shady looking bar and walked inside. Cat calls followed her and she grinned and winked at a couple of guys, gruff and drunk as they were. She passed by the bar and tables, wandering to the staircase and walking upstairs and down the hall to a door with the number four barely hanging on to its surface.
Unlocking the door, she pushed it open and wandered in, tossing the bags down on the mattress. "Throw em where ever and I'll buy you a drink." She said, pulling out a stack of bills from one of the duffel bags. "Lemme just change first." She hummed and pulled her shirt off, standing in her bra and shorts. She pulled a new shirt out of her closet and pulled it over her head, feeling clean and not as dusty. Whitefall was a pretty dusty, desert-y planet.
Running a hand through her hair she turned to look at him and motioned for him to follow. "What's your poison?"

Wash was in a sense crazy. It took alot to phase him. After the stories he’d been told and what happened before his dad died and such dead bodies were the least of his worries really. Reavers could move in in a sense but dead bodies nah they were fine. At least you knew they were dead. Reavers on the other hand were just well they weren’t right. Of course he was surprised that the alliance didn’t just annillatie them off the face of the verse. Of course no one really could get close enough to their little Reaver territory ring without dying anyways. Reaves were good for such things. Like leading Alliance ships there way. Still that was when he was feeling a bit more evil about the alliance trying to chase them down. If they wanted a chase and thought they’d catch Serenity they were wrong. Wash has many a thing up his sleeve for such instances. He laughed and being called Princess but walked right behind the female as if it was something that they did all the time and like the knew eachother.
There was more to her then what it looked. She seemed to effortlessly carry the bags and Wash being him shifted the bags once to make sure they were locked in place and good and then didn’t think about them again really. He followed her down the backstreets as if he knew that place as well as she did of course it helped that he was doing the following after all. He looked at the bar and wondered where everyone else might be and if he’d seen anyone. He highly doubted it though as he walked through the door and heard the cat calls directed at the female in front of him. He shrugged it off and walked into the room she had opened. He tossed down the bags and watched as she pulled out money and then told him she was going to changed. He didn’t look away but he also didn’t really look as she changed her shirt. Man was she hot though. He mentally kicked himself for even thinking such things as he got a side glance of her in her bra.
He followed her again with just the motion of her hand. ”I’m feeling like a bit of rum. But anything you think would be good from this place. I’m told some places out here still make moonshine and I’d be willing to have some of that.” He smiled and sat down at one of the bar stools and waited for her to do the same. After all she couldn’t always be leading right. Of course she might have a better place to sit since she knew the place better.

Ah, a man after her own heart, someone who could shut up, follow orders and possibly keep up with her when drinking. "Mhm princess I'm sure I can get you something to wet your whistle." She gave him a cheeky grin and once downstairs at the bar, sat beside him on a stool.
Flipping her hair back over her shoulder she knocked lightly on the bar waiting for the tender to finish up and help her instead. "Two of your finest for the Princess and myself. I'm treatin' today Max." Apparently she knew the bartender, perhaps because she was a frequent visitor and was renting a room upstairs? Well she was a bit of an alcoholic and didn't plan on changing it anytime in the future.
He laughed and said he'd get right on it for them as Barbie turned to her... erm date? "So what you doing up yonder at this time of day anyway? You belong with that ship I saw landin' a bit ago?" He didn't look like he belonged at Whitefall at least. Too nice and not starving. It was harsh times on Whitefall, always had been and she was afraid it always would be. Not that she cared too much, she was a selfish woman and tended to fight for what she wanted. Those that laid back and took their punishment were weak and pitiful in her eyes. Never should anyone give up hope. Once you did that you were just laying in your own grave, waiting for the dirt to pile on.
"May I ask if you're here on business or pleasure? Cause if you got the time I wouldn't mind showing you around?" The bartender set two glasses in front of them with a clear alcohol. "There's your 'shine."

It seemed he had actually found a decent place to sit. The female didn't move them from their stop. Actually she just sat down next to him in the first place. Usually the best view was from one of the bar stools along the actual bar. Of course you could always see what was going on from a corner table in the dark. You could see other couldn't. Up on a barstool however you got a few you couldn't get from the dark corner table. As this was Whitefall it was probably best to stay out in the open. It would be some time still before anyone needed him back on the ship and well the ship was locked up and no one was going to take it from them. No way no how. Plus he was sure Simon or someone else was still on her anyways. One could never tell how long it would take for them to get a job or finish a job if i was local in a sense. It could take hours or days. He was fine with either.
Most men would have gotten angry with being called Princess but now Wash. He really didn't care. The female before him could probably get away with calling him alot worse before he'd actually have something to say about it. Wash was one of those guys that was really hard to faze or make angry with you. He'd take alot of shit before he'd actually start dealing out some of his own. It was usually someone from the ship that would stand up for him before he stood up for himself. However being called Princess was harmless really. After all he couldn't remember if they'd exchanged names or not in the first place. He didn't ever remember saying his. He also didn't talk much. There really was no reason for it most of the time. Now that didn't mean to say he didn't have opinions on things. It was just that he didn't voice them most of the time to avoid the constant fighting that could occur on the ship. The bartender seemed to walk off after she had ordered drinks from the both of them. "I landed that ship. So to say the least I belong with it." He smirked. Serenity was like an arm to him so to speak. Least the way that he could fly her. There was no denying he was his father's son but there was also no denying his own skills at the helm. He could do some things that his father had never tired but things he knew the ship could do. It was a rather intimate relationship that he had with the ship. However not as intimate as say Kaylee had as she was the reason why he had a ship to fly. If it wasn't for her quick fixes no matter how could of a pilot he was the ship would go down. He also was sure he didn't look anything like he belonged in Whitefall.
THe bartender finally sat the drinks infront of them and he could tell by the looks of things. It was moonshine and it was as she had put it the finest. He was in the mood to down as much moonshine, rum, and whiskey he could get his hands on. Of course he wouldn't call himself an alcoholic cause he didn't have it all that often but he might as well have been with the way that he could drink. He thought about what she had said just before the drinks had come. "Business really but the others are tied down with that. I'm here cause I pilot the ship so I have all the time in the world to take a look around. Plus they can call me back to the ship at any time." He took a sip of his moonshine and then just downed the entire glass as if it really was water or something like that.
