People passed in blurs to her as she wandered the streets. It had been far too long since she felt any sort of connection to the world around her. She sighed and pulled the hood of her sweatshirt down further over her head as she felt the creeping darkness following her and plaguing her mind. She missed her family... but there was nothing she could do about that.

Her stomach growled and she sighed, fishing around in her pocket, hearing only a small amount of money ring. She needed to get another job and soon. Perhaps she could go and bug Fox and see if she had anything lined up for her. She would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy working for the crazy bat. She might be a little off her rocker but who wasn't nowadays?

She sighed again and stepped out of the traffic, leaning against the nearest building as she counted the last of her change. There wasn't a lot left but enough to get her a small meal. Her stomach growled again and she glanced around at the potential targets. Any easy rich boys around? Oh yes. She hummed softly and ignored everyone else as she closed in on her target. It wasn't hard to charm her way into his pants.

She laughed a few minutes later, sitting at a small restaurant checking the contents of the man's wallet. It would last her for the next few days at least. As the waitress brought her her food, she glanced up at the TVs that littered the walls. A lot of them showed sports channels but she was more interested in the news. They were talking about the events on Miranda and the renegade ship Serenity. They were going on about the rise in crimes against the Alliance and such. It made her smile. They didn't even know the half of it.

Jude filled with the watch on his arm as he walked along the streets. He was on a mission to get himself a decent drink. Whenever he went for a walk, there was always a reason for it and nothing less. Turning to his companion, Fox, a crooked half smile formed. ”Fancy a meal a meal with something calming?” Many who didn’t know of the pair’s working would assume they had something aside from business going on. With them it was the complete opposite. They were strictly friends and Jude worked for her. When in a meeting or anything else related to her empire, he was entirely at her beckoning. When off the clock to say, they were like the old friend’s growing up together.

They lived about the less then fancy areas of Persephone. His parents, long retired in the country, once lived here as well. His father’s old cover up business had long burnt down but was a minor detail. Fox conducted things on her own terms and it worked out well. Their homes were in close vicinity so if anything happened, Jude and his men were right there. No one from around this area ever bugged them, knowing they weren't the kind of people you wanted to mess with. Even the local patrol never seemed to bother them, with some greasing of their palms. The locals were so eager for money, an occasional pay out was nothing compared to being thrown behind iron bars.

Finding a bar and pub they frequented, Jude opened the door for Fox and their strong hands before stepping in himself. The owner bowed his head at them, ushering the group to their usual area. Their strong hands didn’t stand around like in meetings but instead sat at tables flocking the one Fox and Jude occupied. Leaning backwards, he gazed over the place. They knew most everyone there but a particular face caught his eyes. A frequent person they turned to when a few extra hands were needed. Or she came to them when desperate for money. By the way she wolfed at the food, she was near that point. When she noticed their presence, he raised his glass of scotch. ”Ni How, Ren. Join us?” He always preferred to call people by their given name, though would switch things up on occasion. That’s when people should be worried.
